Project Quetzal is a suite of tools that combine to provide helpdesk agent functionality like many of the commercial tools available. 

Current features aimed for on release include:

  • Agent that installs customised OpenVPN, VNC and crontool on Microsoft Windows PCs
  • Tunnels back over port 443/TCP with authenticated proxy support from OpenVPN
  • KVM based virtual machine (controller) that manages all the agents, sorted by customer
  • Agent reports to webservice on controller and provides support teams with easy one-click access to the desktops
  • Agent auto-updates for new changes and reports system stats regularly
  • All Open Source components
  • Free to use/download/customise all components
